The Copy Command

What Is Copying?

One the computer the copy command is used in every program that exists so you know it won’t be time wasted learning this command.  Learning to use this tool effectively will save you time and eliminate data entry errors.  Copying allows you to make an exact duplication of  an object or a group of objects.  An object can be anything;  a word, a resume, a picture, a group of words and so on.

Copying Sounds Cool, How Do I Do It?

There are many different ways that you can invoke the copy command and depending on the program and computer system ( mac or pc).  The most efficient way to copy something is a combination of using the mouse pointer to select your object(s) with one hand and using the copy command shortcut

Control + c for pc and linux

and

Command + c for mac users

I believe it is still important to learn other ways to copy because you might not have a working mouse at a critical moment or your “c key” could be broken and most of all the more exposure you get to performing efficiency tasks the better you become at finding shortcuts in all the programs you use or will use in the future.
